Anglicans For Life

Anglicans for Life is the only global Anglican ministry dedicated to inspiring the Anglican Church to understand and compassionately apply God’s Word when addressing abortion, abstinence, adoption, euthanasia, and embryonic stem cell research. Visit them online at http://anglicansforlife.org/.

Life Choices in Poway is one focus of our pro-life ministry. They provide abortion alternatives and are always in need of baby supplies to help those they counsel. Diapers, wipes, clothes from NB to 3T, and any baby items(new or gently used) are appreciated. A large gray tub by the welcome table is provided to collect your donated items. Visit them online at http://lifechoicespoway.org/.

Anglicans for Life DECLARATION OF LIFE STATEMENT
We believe God, and not man, is the creator of human life.
Therefore, from conception to natural death we will protect and respect the sanctity of every human life.
Furthermore, we recognize that the unjustified taking of life is sinful, but God gives absolution to those who ask for His forgiveness.

Order of St. Luke – Healing Ministry

“Is any one of you sick? He should call the leaders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.” James 5:14-15

The Order of Saint Luke is a non-denominational Christian healing ministry. It is the Order’s mission to take the healing touch of Jesus beyond the walls of the church building into hospitals, nursing homes, and into the greater community—anywhere people are in need. Through our work, we seek to create time that is not rushed, so that we may act as God’s presence, intentionally pouring out His love as prayer for the sick. We minister to those who are bound in guilt, so that they might confess their sins before God and be set free through the absolution that God has provided for us. We tend to those who will take the time, through counsel and prayer, to begin healing the painful memories of the past. If you would like to receive healing prayer from OSL, please contact us or visit http://www.orderofstluke.org/.

Intercessory Prayer Team

Our Prayer Warriors will pray for any need that arises right away with a quick call or email to Cindy at our Church Office. Call (858) 621-0644 or email office@ctksd.org. Prayers are completely confidential and only sent to the Prayer team, unless you specify otherwise.

Prayers and Squares

Prayers and Squares is a ministry dedicated to healing and comfort through prayer quilts. Prayer quilts contain heavy threads which are tied by others as they offer a silent prayer. Quilts can be requested specifically for someone in need of prayer due to sickness or other crisis situations in their life. The prayer quilt is blessed by the priest and given to a person in crisis, to be pulled close for warmth and comfort.

If you would like a prayer quilt for you or someone you know, please request it from any prayers and squares member, or contact the church office.

The prayers and squares ministry is always looking for new members. Quilting ability is helpful but not required, we will find a way for anyone to participate in this ministry.

Stephen Ministry

This ministry helps those who are overwhelmed by their circumstances and need a fresh start. The confidential care given by a Stephen Minister can make the difference between sharing your burdens with someone who is trained to help, or going it alone. Check the welcome table for information or speak to Fr. Larry or Sue Gerhardt.

Youth Ministry

At Christ the King Church, the Youth are very active and form an integral part of the ‘Body of Christ’. Learn more…
